Banksia Park Samuri ET
Banksia Park Samurai ET is currently the main Stud Male we have been using in our Breeding Programme. His third drop of Cria are now hitting the ground and as such we now know exactly what “Sammy” will do to each female.
Banksia Park Samuri at 4 years of Age
Samurai was initially purchased from Jenny and George Jackson who own and run Banksia Park Alpacas in WA in Australia. We considered ourselves the breeders in New Zealand when Jenny offered us Samuri and especially when she told us that she had bred and saved him for us. How lucky can you get?

Jenny Jackson is rated as one of the top Alpaca Judges in the world. We first met Jenny when she judged the Manawatu A&P Show way back in 2004. We believe of all the people we have ever met in the Alpaca Industry that Jenny Jackson has the “gift” and we also believe that Banksia Park Alpaca Stud are leading the world in Breeding Alpacas.
We have shown Samuri over the last few years and he (for all sorts of different reasons) has always been the Brides maid, he has won some Championships but never went on to take out any Supremes ………. But ………….. we believe the Cria he produces are better than any of the Cria from any of the males that did beat him in the Show Ring.
Thief of Hearts Samantha was Samuri's first ever Female Cria and she was a stunner.
Samuri has produced some stunning animals and with his grand kids now hitting the ground, the results are just fantastic.
Samuri have never produced a Cria of lower quality than its Dam, he is a true improver both at the bottom end and also at the high end producing top quality Cria from our top females.

Samuri is the very first Banksia Park bred animal to arrive into New Zealand. Most of the Alpaca World now know about Jenny and George Jackson due to the record price at auction for a Male Alpaca in Australia, where Banksia Park Kahn ET was purchased for the grand sum of $170,000 Australian at the 2007 National Show and Auction. Kahn was the Supreme Champion Huacaya at the show and was then put up for auction.
Samuri has the same sire as Kahn (Jolimont Warrior) and is out of one of Jenny’s elite Dams named “Destiny and of course Destiny is out of Kikasa and Kikasa is one of the best females we have ever seen, she is just an amazing old lady.

You can see by the Photo’s of Samuri that this Male has it all – Bone, Density, Structure, Presence, Coverage and of course good looks. What you can’t see is how beautiful his fleece is once you open it up, it is silky soft with amazing structure with independent bundles all over his body.
