Homestead Farm Augustus
We purchased Augustus in 2013 from Russell and Carolyn Nelson.
We could not believe that any animal could pack so much fleece onto a single frame.
Augustus was big and straight with a beautiful head and crimp from his noes to his toes.
Augustus is another male we bought as a junior and could not wait to see how he grew and what he could produce in the future.
One of my biggest Alpaca talents is the ability to be able to pick Stud Males from a very early age and we were not disappointed with how Augustus has turned out.
He got his name from one of Russell’s grandsons.

This picture was taken 4 months after I managed to get Augustus back, he is still on the road to recovery but is improving every week. He has just been shorn and I will get a much better picture when he grows his fleece back.
You can the basic structure of this Male and how well ballanced he is.
Even in a very bad state of health, he still had the most amazing fleece.
We are really looking forward to his first Cria being born in the Spring (2019)
